WHEN TO USE PRETERITES A preterite is used when you wish to talk about past actions. To conjugate a verb to its preterite form, add the appropriate preterite ending to its verb stem.

AR VERB PRETERITE Yo -e Nosotros -amos Tu -aste El, Ella, Usted -o Ellos, Ellas, Ustedes -aron
