Reading LOG- Each day Eng/Span 10 minutes each day! Reading Response- 1 per week
Reading Response “Menus”: Write an introduction paragraph (see #1), Then choose 1 prompt from each category. One menu is FICTION, the other is NON FICTION. (Both are in both languages)
Use these sentence starters to help you write your response! One is for FICTION, the other is for NONFICTION!
Our class sample of a reading response in Spanish. Provided sentence starters are in red. Acabo de leer Flores para mis vecinos por Elena Dreser. El género del cuento es ficción realista. El escenario del cuento es en el jardín de Ernesto y el de sus vecinos. Yo se esto porque en las ilustraciones veo sus jardines. El mensaje central del cuento es que es importante traer felicidad a la gente, especialmente los ancianos. Se esto porque en el texto dice, “Ernesto quería hacer algo para ayudar a sus vecinos.”
