La Navidad is celebrated throughout Latin America, Spain, and South America. Where is it celebrated?

La Navidad is celebrated by the Latin Americans, the Spanish, and South Americans. Who celebrates it?

Aside from just celebrating Christmas, La Navidad began originally as a celebration of the Winter Solstice and the beginning of Winter. Why do they celebrate it?

The origin of celebrating at this specific time of year in Mexico began thousands of years before the birth of Christ. Ancient Aztecs celebrated the sun often, the Winter Solstice being one of those celebrations. Eventually with the integration of the Spaniards into Mexico, the tradition of celebrating the birth of Christ became the focus of the season's rituals. La Historia

There are several instances of food in La Navidad. The one night that is most significantly focused on the food is las posadas, or, the inns. The people in the city travel from door to door in a procession, until they find someone who will let them in. Then they hold their evening prayer before celebrating with lots of food, music, and fireworks. FOOD!!!!!!
