Juan 4:42 This year Lent began on Ash Wednesday, March 5. To help Catholics live our Lent with greater dedication to the Lord Jesus, Pope Francis, addressed a Lenten message to the Catholic world. He chose as his theme the words of Saint Paul to the Corinthians: “Though rich, Jesus became poor so that by his poverty you might become rich.”

May our acts of self-giving and sacrifice lead us to empty ourselves and welcome you into our hearts, minds and souls. May the sacrifice of your Son and the depths of your love fill our hearts with joy, and may we make this joy known to all those with whom we live and work. Amen.
