There are actually 3 types of regular verbs in addition to –ar verbs, there are also –er verbs and –ir verbs (which are different from the verb “ir”) Remember “ar” verbs? hablo hablamos hablas habláis habla hablan
What are –er verbs? Verbs that end in “er” aprender – to learn beber – to drink comer – to eat comprender – to understand correr – to run leer – to read vender – to sell
How to conjugate –er verbs…verbs that end in “er” drop the –er ending 2. add the matching ending to the stem of the verb. -o -emos -es -éis -e -en

What are -ir verbs? compartir – to share escribir – to write recibir – to receive vivir – to live
How to conjugate -ir verbs drop the -ir ending 2. add the matching ending to the stem -o -imos -es -ís -e -en The only difference is the nosotros form! *emos (er) or imos (ir)*

Here is another exception… hacer – to do/to make (often used in fixed expressions-like for the weather) hago hacemos haces hacéis hace hacen Notice that the yo form is irregular, but the endings are regular—sometimes this is called a “go verb”
