How to make the present progressive There are two parts to the present progressive: –Estar (conjugated to say who is doing something) –The present participle (the – ando / -iendo form of the verb)

How to make the present progressive Present participle is formed by dropping the ending and adding: – ando for –ar verbs –Iendo for –er and –ir verbs For example: –I am talking. Yo estoy hablando.

With reflexive verbs... We have to remember the reflexive pronoun. You can put the reflexive pronoun before the conjugated form of estar – OR– attached to the present participle (adding an accent over the a of –ando or e of –iendo).

With reflexive verbs... I am brushing my teeth. –Yo me estoy cepillando los dientes. –OR– –Yo estoy cepillándome los dientes.
