 There is a formula:  Subject #1 (S1) + ser or estar* (conjugated) + más/menos + adjective + que + Subject #2 (S2):  Eliana es más cómica** que Enrique.  *rules for ser/estar still apply  **the adjective must match S1

 Robert Pattinson es menos famoso que Ryan Gosling.  Jennifer Lawrence y Kristen Stewart son más famosas que Taylor Lautner.

 There are a few words that are used instead of “más que & menos que”:  Menor = younger  Mayor = older  Mejor = better  Peor = worse  You can also use comparisons of equality for actions:  Shakira canta más elegantemente que Juanes.

 ¿Es la comida española menos sabrosa que la comida china?  Nuestra abuela cocina mejor que Paula Deen.

 1. My English class is better than my Geometry (geometría) class.  Mi clase de inglés es mejor que mi clase de geometría.

 2. Your dad is taller than my dad.  Tu papá (o padre) es más alto que mi papá.

 3. My science (ciencias) teacher (female) is stricter than my math teacher (male).  Mi profesora de ciencias es más estricta* que mi profesor de matemáticas.  *Notice that the adjective matches the first subject, not the second subject.

 4. Balloons (los balones) are more more dangerous than an airplane (un avión). ..  Los balones son más peligrosos que un avión.

 6. Carlos and Mario are older than Andrea.  Carlos y Mario son mayores que Andrea.

 7. You run faster than the cheetah (el guepardo.  Tú corres más rápido (or rapidamente) que el guepardo.

 8. The zebra (la cebra) is smaller (less big) than the giraffe (la jirafa).  La cebra es menos grande que la jirafa.

 9. Cola is healthier (sano) than milk (la leche).  La cola es más sana que la leche.

 10. Cats dance better than they sing.  Los gatos bailan mejor que cantan.

 12. Cows fly (volar o →ue) more elegantly than cats.  Las vacas vuelan más elegantemente que los gatos.
