 Classroom Expectation  Be Respectful...of yourself, of others, of the school / classroom environment  Be Responsible...that means come to class on time; come to class prepared with books, notebook, writing implement and always do your homework.  Be in assigned seat with notebook, workbook, dictionary, and pen ready to work when bell rings.  Be attentive to begin class with a prayer.  Attendance will be taken for each class

 Bring a positive attitude to class.  Pay attention to what is happening in class.  Ask questions when you are confused about the lesson. Negative comments will NOT be tolerated.  Participate in all classroom activities.  Speak Spanish as much as possible. Watch Spanish TV even if you don’t understand what you are hearing for at least mins.

 Study. Memorize. Study. Everyday 10 mins. a day.  Notebooks are to be neat, well kept with no torn papers in it.  Complete all assignments to the best of your ability and hand them in on time.  You must participate in class.

 Pass all your tests and quizzes. Keep the test and handouts in your folder.  Date everything. Study hard!  Do everything in a timely fashion.  Raise your hand to ask or answer a question.  Study index cards on a daily bases so that you could be ready for tests and/or quizzes.

Student Evaluation:  Test – main chapter tests (To be signed by parent) Students will have a total of 3 to 4 Chapters per marking period that should be completed.  Class Participation  Homework Assignments (To be signed by parent)  Notebook (Composition Notebook) – Chapter outlines/ Chapter vocabulary. Grading system is composed of the following:  100% Test  100% Homework  100% Class Participation/Behavior  Meaning: All grades are equally important to one another. Note: All assignments will be posted on the Hayes Website-

 If absent on the day of a test, there will be one opportunity to make up the missing exam. Makeup exams will be given the next day the student returns to school. If the student fails to report for the makeup exam, the grade will be 55%. If this occurs a second time in the same marking period, the grade is zero!
