6 DESARROLLO DE LAS MICROFINANZAS DEVELOPMENT OF MICROFINANCE El colectivo inmigrante o potencial emigrante como objetivo de la actividad micro- financiera. Colectivo especialmente vulnerable en períodos de crisis económica. Migrants as a potential target for microfinancial activity. A vulnerable group in case of economic crises. En países receptores de emigrantes: las microfinanzas, contribuyen a la estabilidad económica y al incremento del empleo. Host countries perspective: microfinance contributes to economic stability and employment growth. En países de origen de los migrantes: las microfinanzas pueden contribuir a prevenir una pérdida de capital humano que lastre el desarrollo económico. Pueden ayudar a evitar desequilibrios económicos ante una reversión del flujo de la migración. Home countries perspective: microfinance may help to prevent a loss of human capital that hinders economic development. May also help to avoid economic imbalances if there is a sudden reversion in the migration flow. 7 DESARROLLO DE LAS MICROFINANZAS DEVELOPMENT OF MICROFINANCE Para que las microfinanzas contribuyan al desarrollo, la estabilidad económica y la cohesión social, son precisos proyectos sólidos de instituciones o líneas de negocio microfinancieras. For microfinance to contribute to development, economic stability and social cohesion, sound projects are needed. Requieren de un cierto grado de especialización organizativa, de gestión, de formación del personal. Organizational, managerial and training specialisation is required. Precisa también de una importante capilaridad, de proximidad al colectivo objetivo (se puede alcanzar mediante red propia o mediante acuerdos con otras entidades u organizaciones). Network capilarity and proximity to the focus group is also needed (achievable through own network and/or agreements with other institutions). Algunas observaciones sobre España: nivel de actividad todavía incipiente, pero existe margen de maniobra para un mayor desarrollo. Some remarks on Spain: incipient level of activity, but room for further development.
