What’s the stem/root of a verb? What’s the ending of a verb? The ending is the last 2 letters of the verb. In Spanish, all verbs end in “ar, er, or ir”. The stem/root of a verb contains ALL of the letters except the ending…….or every letter leading up to the ending. Our new verb “costar” = to cost. Stem = cost Ending = ar
