Reglas de la Clase Basadas en el Respeto Profe Swank

Respeto por los demás This is vital for success in this class. You must conduct yourself as a member of a caring, mature community of language learners. The emphasis of this class will be risk-taking and we will make many mistakes, therefore it is crucial that we treat each other with respect at all times. Insults or sarcastic humor will not be tolerated.

Respeto por nuestra Identidad Any comments (written or spoken) that might be hurtful to those of a particular ethnic background, religion, or sexual orientation or social class will not be tolerated. Furthermore, I will not permit students to belittle or laugh at other students when they make mistakes. We can only be successful if we all work together and therefore we must make everyone feel as safe and comfortable as possible.

Respeto por nuestro Salón I count on you to do your part to keep it clean and organized. Check under and around your desk at the beginning and end of each class and throw away anything belonging in the trash, whether you put it there or not. Also, when you use classroom resources, put them away when you are finished. Please consume all food and beverages outside the classroom before and after class.

Respeto por la hora de clase Make sure that you take your time reading and following instructions. Review and revise your work as often as possible. Come to class prepared and ready to learn with all the necessary materials on your desk before the bell rings.

Tarde You will be mark tardy if when the second bell rings you are: Not already seated quietly and ready to work, Approaching the door when the bell begins, Standing outside finishing a meal, Crossing the threshold of the door, In the classroom running to your desk, Flying to get into your seat when the bell starts to ring.

Respeto por el Idioma This is a language class and the only way we can acquire a second language is to speak it. You must have the willingness to use Spanish as much as possible in your communications inside the classroom. You must also allow yourself to make mistakes when expressing your ideas in Spanish. At times you will get lost for a moment or not understand something perfectly. Don’t panic and don’t give up. Everything is under control.

Celulares y otros Aparatos Electrónicos Must be off and out of sight during class time, unless I approve their use that day for learning purposes. Phone may only be used for texting, calling and social media before and after school, during brunch and lunch. If I see or hear your phone or any other electronic device, it will be confiscated for the rest of the class or day.

Respeto para la Profesora As your teacher, I expect to be treated with respect and I will always do the same with you. You are welcome to express your thoughts, but please do so respectfully, maturely and at the appropriate time.
