STRUCTURE OF THE ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere has got four layers: Thermosphere Mesosphere Stratosphere Troposphere Altitude ( km ) Air temperature - 60  C 0  C+ 100  C Troposphere: from 0 m to 12 Km. Weather phenomena (rain, wind...) take place inside the troposphere.  Stratosphre: up to 50 km of altitude. The stratosphere includes the ozone layer.  Mesosphere: from 50 km to 80 km. The temperature increases.  Thermosphere or ionosphere: up to 500 km of altitude. the temperature increases up to 1000ºC. 
