Use the imperfect tense to talk about actions that happened repeatedly in the past. Example: Rafael patinaba y Mónica corría. (Rafael used to skate and Monica used to run.)

Imperfect Tense yo -aba tú vosotros él, ella ellos, ellas -aban -AR verbs: Drop the –AR and add the following endings: yo -aba nosotros -ábamos tú -abas vosotros -abais usted, él, ella ustedes, ellos, ellas -aban
