Spanish Subject Pronouns Yo –I Tú – You (informal) Él – He Ella – She Usted – You (formal) Tú and Usted mean you, but tú you use it with a friend, relative or someone your age. Usted you use it with a teacher, adult you’ve just met or someone you show respect to.
