Quasimodo: Review the notes on the past tense + regular preterite verb conjugations.

Escritorios: I will give a statement. If it is true for you then you can stand up and move to the front of the room. Once everyone it is true for is up front, I will say “Siéntate” (sit down) and you will need to pick from one of the available seats for your class and have a seat. This will continue until I feel like we’ve moved around enough to switch things up.

Stem changers in the present tense: How do they work? In some conjugations of the verb, a letter in the stem/root changes. Then they use the same endings as regular verbs. Where do these stem changes happen? In the “boot” (all but “nosotros” and “vosotros” forms) What kinds are there? Ejemplos: I will be giving you some examples of stem changing verbs in the preterite. See what you can notice about when and how they are different than a normal verb. We’ve already noted that –ar and –er verbs that stem change in the present DON’T in the preterite so we’ll stick to –ir verbs.
