El tiempo In Spanish, the word “Tiempo” can mean either “time” or “weather”. For this reason, when asking the time in Spanish it´s preferable to use “hora”: ¿Qué hora es? ¿A qué hora llega? To ask about the weather, the question is: ¿Qué tiempo hace hoy? (in the past, “hacía”)

Impersonal verbs: Llover and Nevar Llover (o-ue) (to rain) and Nevar (e-ie) (to snow) are impersonal verbs only conjugated in the third person singular (it.) ¿Qué tiempo hace hoy? Hace frío y llueve un poco. These are also frequently used in the present progressive, imperfect and “going to” future: ¿Está lloviendo hoy? No, pero dicen que va a llover mañana
