llueve, esta lloviendo, va a llover, llovera llovio, estaba lloviendo, llovia

Llovio - it rained Hizo calor - it was hot (for weather with ‘hace’) > (for a short spell) Hubo tormenta –it was stormy (for weather with ‘hay’) (for a short spell) (N.b. Use IMPERFECT for lengthier stretches)

22 When I was a young girl… Cuando era nina…… (‘permanent’/lengthy state in the past > imperfect tense) Llovia - it used to rain Hacia calor - it used to be hot (for weather with ‘hace’) (and ‘it was hot’ – next slide) Habia tormenta –it used to be stormy (for weather with ‘hay’) (and ‘it was stormy’- next slide)
