Ud. Mandatos To form Ud. commands, use the ‘Yo’ form present tense of verb, drop the “o” and add: -e for AR verbs …luchar -- luche -a for ER/IR verbs …convivir – conviva For negative commands, use same forms, just add “No” in front of command. No luche. No consuma.

Uds. Mandatos - To form Uds. commands, use the ‘Yo’ form present tense of verb, drop the “o” and add: -en for AR verbs …luchar – luchen -an for ER/IR verbs …convivir- convivan For negative commands, use same forms, just add “No” in front of command. No luchen. No consuman.

Mandatos Irregulares Any verb that has an irregular ‘Yo’ form in the present tense will be an irregular Ud. or Uds. command. Hacer, salir, poner, tener, traer, seguir etc Ejemplo: Hacer Hago – Haga Ud. Tener Tengo – Tengan Uds. Embellecer Embellezco -- Embellezca Ud.

Tú Mandatos Affirmative Tú Commands use the él/ella present tense form of verb. Votar – Vota. Convivir – Convive. Escribir – Escribe. Negative Tú Commands form using: -es for AR verbs … No votes. -as for ER/IR verbs … No escribas.

Verbs that Spell-Change Verbs ending in: –car (c --- qu) -gar (g --- gu) -zar (z --- c) …require a spell-change for Ud./Uds. and negative Tú commands to keep the pronunciation consistent. Educar: yo educo --- Eduque Ud. Llegar: yo llego --- No llegues tú.

Nosotros Commands with Reflexives Affirmative commands- drop final “s” from verb command and attach reflexive pronoun (nos) to end of it. Ejemplos: lavarse– lavémonos escribirse-- escribámonos despertarse-- despertémonos Note: Accents are added to keep pronunciation consistent.
