Introduction The goal of this Technical Specification is the development of fundamental quality systems that provide for continuous improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. This Technical Specification defines the fundamental quality system requirements of the subscribing companies. It is recognized that there may be company-specific, division-specific, commodity-specific, and/or part-specific requirements in addition to those given in Figure 1.
