Regular versus Irregular An irregular verb does not follow the steps or the pattern. Specifically, an irregular “yo” verb does not follow the steps or pattern for the “yo” conjugation. A regular verb follows the three steps of conjugation and follows the pattern of endings.

Remember: Irregular “yo” verbs are only irregular in the “yo” conjugation! That means they follow the normal pattern and steps for the other conjugations.
