Verbos Reflexivos: Other reflexive verbs use reflexive pronouns and verb forms but do not have the meaning of a person doing an action to or for himself. These reflexive verbs often describe a change in mental, emotional, or physical state and can express the idea that someone “gets” or “becomes.” Aburrirse- to become bored Casarse- to get married Divertirse- to have fun Dormirse- to fall asleep Enojarse- to become angry Ponerse (furioso, alegre, etc.)- to become… Volverse loco- to go crazy Se durmieron durante la película. Se puso alegre después de ganar.

Ejemplos: We can use these other reflexive verbs in the present or past tense. Yo me enojo cuando mis amigos no hablan conmigo.- I become angry when my friends don’t talk to me. Yo me enojé cuando mi amiga no me llamó. – I became angry when my friend did not call me. Normalmente cuando los jugadores meten un gol, los aficionados se vuelven locos. –Normally, when the players score a goal, the fans go crazy. Hoy cuando el jugador metió un gol, los aficionados se volvieron locos.- Today, when the player scored a goal, the fans went crazy.
