Usos de saber Saber is used to talk about learned skills. You can know how to swim, draw, speak a language, etc. It is also used to ask about knowing a bit of information about something, or knowing something by memory. To express the knowledge of know “to do” something, use saber plus an infinitive. (To now a fact, to know something thoroughly or to know how to do something). Sé hablar español.= I know how to speak Spanish. Anita no sabe nadar.= Anita doesn’t know how to swim. Tú sabes la respuesta.= You know the answer. Indicator for saber is verbs in the infintive (1st and 2nd example).

Conocer=to know, be acquainted with yo conozco** nosotros(as) conocemos tú conoces vosotros(as) conocéis él/ella/ud. conoce ellos/ellas/uds. conocen

Usos de conocer To express knowledge (or lack of knowledge) about something or someone means that we have some experience with the thing (or person). You can know, or be acquainted with, a book, a movie, a place, or a person. (To be acquainted with a person, place or thing). Yo conozco una película que te interesa.= I know a movie that interests you. No conocemos Madrid.= We don’t know (aren’t acquianted with Madrid). Ella conoce a mi hermano.= She knows my brother With people, use A before. (indicator for conocer)
