Ser vs. Estar (Notes) In Spanish- there are two verbs that both mean to be- Ser & Estar. Both verbs mean to be The difference is that Ser refers to things that are permanent and Estar refers to things that are temporary. To help know which verb two use, remember these phrases: For Ser use D.O.T.T.I.P. For Estar use H.E.L.P.C.T.
