Los Verbos “AR”

English Verbs I to swim, he to swim, etc. You must conjugate (change) a verb to fit the subject. For example, you can’t say I to swim, he to swim, etc. Instead, you take off the TO and change the verb.

For Example. . . singular plural I swim you swim he swims she swims it swims we swim xxx they swim you all swim

Spanish Verbs Just like in English, in Spanish you have to change the verb to match the subject too. For example, you can’t just say yo nadar, tú nadar, etc. You have to conjugate the verb by changing the ending.

There are 2 steps you must follow . . . . Take off the -ar ending: nadar = nad Add the ending that matches with the subject.
