Direct Objects
What is a direct object? The person or thing receiving the action of the verb I throw the duck. DO – duck (What is the thrown? The duck) He opens the books. DO – books (What is opened? The books)
What is a direct object pronoun? DOPs are used to avoid repeating nouns that have already been mentioned. I throw the duck and she catches it. He opens the books and reads them.
Objetos directos Tiro el patito. DO- el patito Él abre los libros. DO- los libros
Pronombres objetos Tiro el patito y ella lo coge. I throw the duck and she catches it. Él abre los libros y los lee. He opens the books and reads them.
