Ser vs. estar

Los verbos ser y estar Ser y Estar significa “to be” en inglés. (Ser and Estar mean “to be” in English) Pero, hay diferencias entre los usos de los dos verbos. (but, there are differences between the uses of the two verbs) ¡No son intercambiables! (They are not interchangeable!)

El verbo ser Permenencía - Permanence Ser is used to express a trait or characteristic that does not change. Use SER for description. Yo soy alta. Ellos son inteligentes. La farmacia es grande.

El verbo estar Condiciones temporales -Temporary Conditions ESTAR is used to express a condition or temporary state. Translate ESTAR as “to feel” or “to look” Use ESTAR for conditions or feelings. Yo estoy enfermo. Ellas están cansadas. El médico está contento.

El verbo ser Origen - Origin Ser is used to express origin or where someone/something is from originally. Use SER for origins. Yo soy de Massachusetts Nosotros somos de Cuba El libro es de México.
