PORTFOLIO KEEPING & SHOW How to Prepare and Show What You Have Learned! Español 3-4 Semester I

Goal: What You are Trying to Do! Be able to show and tell a friend, your parents, other students how certain topics are organized, pronounced, written, and communicated in Spanish. Have fun reviewing what you know and share that knowledge.

STEP I: Review all material completed. 1.Make a list in Spanish of all topics you have learned so far: el pretérito-verbos regulares, el pretérito-verbos irregulares, el imperfecto, vocabulario, conversaciones, comida, el futuro, los complementos directos, mi animal favorito, biografía, optimista o pesimista, mi restaurante, etc. 2.Choose at least 7 topics to present during your portfolio show, areas that you believe you have learned the best so far. 3.Create a sample portfolio piece for each one of the 7 topics: published, final copy, poster, oral review, etc.

STEP 2: Think about how you will present these 7 topics. Brainstorm how you will present and actually teach another person the information that you have most recently learned and reviewed, for example: 1.Questions and answers 2.Illustrations to demonstrate 3.Oral and visual presentations 4.PowerPoint Slides or hard copies, both? 5.A game?

SAMPLE 2: SPANISH 3-4 OTHER QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1.¿Qué pasó en tu cuento infantil? (Explain here in summary what happenend in your childrens short-story.) You will need to have no more than 3 complete sentences per slide because of presentation purposes. (You could use a chart as was shown in sample 1.) 2.¿Qué pasó en el cuento <El Sueño de Otto? (Spanish 4 only.)

No tendremos electricidad.
