Ir + a + Infinitive you use it to say what you are going to do: I am going to play volleyball In Spanish is the same: Voy a jugar vóleibol.

Activity On tables you are going ask each other what you are going to do this week after school (in English). Who do you usually do this activity with. Ex: El lunes voy a practicar basquetbol con mis amigos.

Formula: Ir + a + inifinitive Notes from Realidades book: 1.The Infinitive is the basic form of the verb (hablar=to talk, comer= to eat, leer=to read or any –ar, -er or –ir verbs). It means “to…” in English. 2.When you use ir + a with and infinitive means you or others are going to do something in the future. It is the same as “I am going to…….” in English: voy a comer una hamburguesa esta noche= I am going to eat a hamburguer tonight.
