Project Benefits Along Flagler Street Reconstructing roadway to improve riding surface Exclusive bicycle lane to increase mobility New sidewalks and pedestrian signals to improve safety Eliminating the eastbound lane along Flagler Street between 12 Avenue & 6 Avenue to increase mobility Improved storm water drainage to address flooding Improving signalization throughout corridor to update to current standards New roadway lighting to meet current standards Florida Department of Transportation

Maintenance of Traffic Along Flagler Street Pedestrian and business access will be maintained at all times Work will be performed in phases to minimize impacts to traffic To do this work safely, traffic shifts will be performed to establish permanent work zones and reduce the number of travel lanes A minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained during weekday daytime hours Florida Department of Transportation

Project Update Flagler Street from 27 Avenue to 14 Avenue This project started March 28, 2016 The current work zone is on the north side of Flagler Street between 14 Avenue and 22 Avenue Drainage and water main work is ongoing Access to businesses has been maintained at all times Specialized pedestrian barricades have been installed along the north side of the corridor to safely separate the sidewalk from the work zone Florida Department of Transportation
