Problemas If you feel you cannot follow up a subject, say so: Lo siento, pero me falta el vocabulario necesario. Me resulta difícil hablar de ese tema. No sé cómo se dice en espanol.
Exténdete en el asunto! Sí por supuesto creo que sí ya lo creo! desde luego sin ninguna duda espero que sí claro! ojalá! No ni pensarlo! de ninguna manera creo que no en absoluto todo lo contrario espero que no por supuesto que no claro que no me temo que no Avoid one-word answers. Use a suitable alternative to a 'sí' o 'no':
Si no entiendes Ask for it to be repeated: o podría repetirme la pregunta, por favor? Ask for it to be said more slowly: o Le importaría hablar más despacio? If you still cannot understand, then say so: o Lo siento, no entiendo la pregunta o Qué quiere decir...?
