6 Los participios con los pronombres reflexivos o complementos There are two ways in which you can express the use of a pronoun, direct or indirect object with a double verb combination 1.You may put the pronoun or complement before the verb estar : Me estaba vistiendo cuando oí la explosion. 2.You may attach the pronoun or complement to the present participle: Yo estaba visti é ndome cuando oí la explosion. İ ojo! Remember to use the accent-Count three vowels from the right- place the accent over the third vowel.

7 The Imperfect Progressive with the preterite tense When this combination is used the imperfect progressive will express what was happening when the interrupting action ( preterite ) occurred. EX. Ella estaba caminando en el parque cuando se cayó. o Cuando Enrique se lástimó el estaba corriendo en un maratón. EX2. Tú estabas sirviendo la comida cuando te lastimaste. Note: That in the examples above “ cuando” is used to introduce the interrupting action ; something was happening when something else occurred or interrupted action.
