5 Present Progressive It consists of : “estar” + present participle
( another verb with a special ending) The present participle is formed by adding the stem of: - ar verbs: “-ando” - er and –ir verbs :“-iendo” Present Progressive in Spanish tells what is happening right now

26 Present Progressive When we conjugate reflexive verbs in this tense, the reflexive pronoun goes: - at the very beginning, before ESTAR (the conjugated form) or - after the main verb, the present participle, attached to it forming one word. ¿Te estás afeitando? / ¿Estás afeitándote? Sí, me estoy afeitando. / Sí, estoy afeitándome

27 Present Progressive when add –IENDO after a vowel (when the er/ir stem finishes in a vowel) the I becomes a Y ex. LEER LE+ iendo= leyendo TRAER TRA+iendo= trayendo OIR O+ iendo = oyendo
