4 Goals/ Metas Advise the Arizona Migrant Education Program on the needs of the migrant child/ Asesorar al programa de Educación Migrante de Arizona sobre las necesidades del niño migrante. Assist the school and migrant staff in the implementation of programs/Asistir a la escuela y al personal del programa Migrante en la implementación de programas. Promote a better relationship between the child’s home and school/ Promover una mejor relación entre la escuela y el hogar del niño Communicate information about the Migrant Program/Comunicar la información sobre el programa migrante a comunidades

5 SMPAC OFFICERS 1. Chairperson/Presidente 2. Vice-Chairperson/ Vicepresidente 3. Secretary/Secretario

6 Chair-person/Presidente The chairperson will preside over each SMPAC meeting, and, in general, will be responsible for providing leadership for the SMPAC. El Presidente presidirá en las reuniones de cada SMPAC y, en general, será lider del SMPAC.

7 Vice-Chairperson/Vicepresidente The vice-chairperson shall preside in the absence of the chairperson. El Vicepresidente presidirá en ausencia del Presidente

8 Secretary/ Secretario The secretary shall maintain adequate minutes of each meeting. The minutes shall be typed and distributed to the council members and to the State Migrant Education Program Office. El Secretario deberá mantener las minutas de cada reunión. Las minutas deben ser impresas y distribuidas a los miembros del Consejo y a la Oficina Estatal de programa de Educación Migrante.
