Juan 4:42 Lord Jesus, you said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be filled.” Make us thirst for you, the fountain of all holiness, and actively spread your influence in our lives, and in society. Mons. Romero understood that real change for the poor and oppressed of El Salvador would happen only when the root causes of injustice and poverty were dealt with. He knew that there would be no development without peace but just as importantly, there would be no peace without justice.
