9 Pronoun placement… We can still place the D.O. and the I.D.O. in the same 4 places: 1. Before the conjugated verb 2. Attached to the INFINITIVE 3. Attached to the PROGRESSIVE 4. Attached to an affirmative command

10 Indirect always comes before Direct. Jose. a mi los boligrafos da Nosotros. a ellos la comida tenemos que servir Tú. preparas el proyecto para el profesor melos lesla lelo Jose gives to me the pens. We have to serve the food to them. Jose gives me them. We have to serve them it. You prepare the project for the teacher. You prepare it for him.

11 LE and LES may have to change to SE When both pronouns are in the 3 rd person, we change the I.D.O. to “SE” EXAMPLES: 1. Julio da. 2. Ana y Maria hacen. 3. Paco tiene que preparár. le la les los le la se se se *Spaniards don’t like Eric Clapton! It’s the Layla rule!
