July 5th is independence day for Venezuela. On this day they do many activities to celebrate breaking free from Spain. This year would be the 201 anniversary of freedom for Venezuelans.

On 5th of July 1811 Venezuela was officially declared free, it was only towards the later part that 5th of July was officially observed as Independence Day of Venezuela.

The biggest event is the independence day parade. The parade consists of a bunch of soldiers marching through town.

No sé si me gustaría participar en la celebración. El evento principal es un evento militario. No quiero ser un parte of el militario de otro país. Soy muy patriotico. Por otro lado Venezuela es demasiado lejos.
