5 Sabìas que… La estatua “El oso y el madroña” is in the Puerta del Sol which is a historic gate into the city. It is considered the focal point of Madrid and is the starting point of all highways in Spain. All distances are measured from a stone beneath the wall of the post office which is known as the zero kilometer. The bear and the madroño tree are the symbol of Spain.
