6 4. Paco les dio el dinero a sus amigos.  Paco se lo dio. Paco gave it to them. To help remember this rule: “You can’t le/lo en español!”

7 3. Exceptions to the pronoun placement rule: 4. You may attach the Indirect and Direct Object pronouns to the end of an infinitive. 5.Carlos lo quiere comprar.or 5.Carlos quiere comprarlo. 5. Luis le necesita pagar el dinero.or 5. Luis necesita pagarle el dinero. 5. Ana se lo quiere preparar. or 5. Ana quiere prepar á rselo. ***Attaching one pronoun to the infinitive requires no accent mark. Attaching two pronouns requires an accent mark three vowels from the end. (including the last vowel) 4. You may attach the Indirect and Direct Object pronouns to the end of a present participle. Carlos lo est á comprando. or Carlos est á compr á ndolo.

8 Ana se lo est á preparando. or Ana est á prepar á ndoselo. 5.Attaching one pronoun to the present participle requires an accent mark three vowels from the end. 6.
