4 Otro Uso This can become tricky because you need to make sure that the doubt, denial, or disbelief creates a situation that the speaker/subject finds unreal or impossible

5 Otro Uso These are the verbs that express doubt: dudar que... es dudoso que... es improbable que... es incierto que... es posible que... Note that in the affirmative, DUDAR takes the subjunctive even when there is no change of subject. When there is no doubt expressed by the speaker, the indicative is used : Ej. No dudo que él tiene dinero

6 Otro Uso These are the verbs that express disbelief: no creer que... no es cierto que... no estar convencido de que no estar seguro de que no parecer que... no pensar que... no suponer que... puede ser que... However, if creer is used in affirmative sentences expressing belief, the indicative is used EJ: Creo que están aquí.

7 Otro Uso These are the verbs that express denial: negar que...(e-ie) no es verdad que... no es cierto que... no imaginarse que temer que... However, when the main clause confirms rather than denies what is said in the dependent clause, use the indicative. EJ: Es verdad que hablamos ruso.

8 INDICATIVO No dudamos que salen bien. We don't doubt they'll do well. Creo que asisten a la clase. I think they attend class. No niegan que yo puedo hacerlo. They don't deny that I can do it. Estoy segura de que viene.I'm sure she's coming. Remember to use the indicative if the sentence expresses belief, fact, certainty, or states the obvious!
