Nationality ending in consonant: Alemán, irlandés, inglés. +A: Alemana, irlandesa, inglesa. (quitamos el acento)

4 Posición de los adjetivos:  Descriptive adjectives usually follow the noun, however if it describes an inherent characteristic, it can precede the noun: Los idiomas extranjeros La blanca nieve. Los idiomas extranjeros La blanca nieve.  The adjective which quantifies (indicates an amount) generally precedes the noun : Había cien preguntas en el examen.  The following adjectives generally precede the noun they modify: ambos (both), otro, bastante, mejor, alguno, poco, suficiente, peor, ninguno, mucho, varios.

5 Posición de los adjetivos:  The adjective is always masculine plural when following two nouns with different gender: Los chicos y las chicas simpáticos. El libro y la pluma nuevos.  It agrees with the closest one when it precedes two nouns : Hay pocas computadoras y libros. Como muchas frutas y vegetales.

6 CHANGE OF MEANING  Some adjectives change their meaning depending on whether they precede or follow the noun:  Semejante:  Una personalidad semejante ( similar)  No he visto semejante actitud! 8 Shortening of adjectives: Some adjectives are shortened when they precede certain nouns.  Uno, bueno, malo, primero, tercero, alguno and ninguno drop their –o before masculine singular nouns: Buen tiempo, mal ejemplo, tercer viaje, un hombre, primer día, algún compañero, ningún examen.  Santo becomes San before masculine names, except those beginning with Do-, To- : San Francisco, BUT Santo Tomás.  Grande and cualquiera are always shortened to gran and cualquier before singular nouns of either gender : Un gran día, una gran mujer. Lee cualquier novela…Son todas buenas.  Ciento becomes Cien before all nouns and before mil and millones. (Not shortened before any other numeral). Cien hombres, cien mil, cien millones, ciento cincuenta.
