Stem- changing verbs in IR have the same stem changes as the present indicative for the YO, TÚ, ÉL, ELLA, UD, ELLOS, ELLAS, UDS. forms, but the stem vowel in the nosotros and vosotros forms changes from E to I , and O to U. 8 USO DEL SUBJUNTIVO Subjunctive is used to express emotion, doubt, opinion, wish, point of view and indirect command. The main clause uses the main verb expressing emotion, doubt, opinion, etc. in the present indicative, and the dependent clause uses the verb in the present subjunctive. Que usually appears before the subjunctive, and join the main and dependent clauses.
