11 Read 180 and System 44: Class Structure Class will have 2 main parts: 1.Whole class instruction: teacher instructs entire class on the same skill/topic 2.Rotation time:  Computer Time-students work independently on software program that adjusts to student’s level  Small Group Time-teacher instructs small group of students on a skill/topic specific to their needs  Independent Reading Time-students read independently; books are chosen from R180/S44 Library based on Lexile Level Be ResponsibleBe SafeBe Respectful

12 Read 180 and System 44: Estructura de la clase La clase tendrá 2 partes principales: 1.La instrucción de toda la clase: el maestro/la maestra enseña a toda la clase en la misma habilidad / tema 2.Tiempo de rotación:  Tiempo de Computadora-students work independently on software program that adjusts to student’s level  Tiempo de Grupos Pequeños-maestro/a enseña a un pequeño grupo de estudiantes en una habilidad / tema específico a sus necesidades  Tiempo de Lectura Independiente-estudiantes leen de forma independiente; libros están seleccionados de la biblioteca de R180 / S44, a base de su nivel de lectura. 13 Read 180 and System 44: CELDT-RFEP Although your children may speak social English easily, fluency of academic language is what will allow them to be reclassifed as “Fluently English-proficient.”. The goal is for all students to achieve a Lexile level of 800. Be ResponsibleBe SafeBe Respectful
