1 Lucas 24: 35 Cuando los dos discípulos regresaron de Emaus y llegaron al sitio donde estaban reunidos los apóstoles, les contaron lo que les había pasado en el camino y como habían reconocido a Jesús al partir el pan. 36 Mientras hablaban de esas cosas, se presento Jesús en medio de ellos y les dijo: “La paz este con ustedes”. 37 Ellos, desconcertados y llenos de temor, creían ver un fantasma.

Reflections on Luke : Reflexiones en Lucas : by Fr. Sam Rosales, S.J Apr. 22, 2012 Today’s Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ, tells us that from now on the risen Christ was to be recognized in the “breaking of the bread.” This was referring to the Eucharist, instituted by Christ at the Last Supper. Jesus, the living bread come down from heaven, was to be with us forever at Mass in a special way, and in the Holy Spirit all the time. No one can take him away from us! Glory to God!

12 El evangelio de hoy, las Buenas Nuevas de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, nos dice que de hoy en adelante, Cristo se ha de reconocer al “quebrar el pan”. Esto se refiere a la Eucaristía, la Misa. Fue instituida por Cristo en la Ultima Cena. Anytime we go through troubled times, or anxiety, it is good to remember the words of Jesus. Peace!
