2 Pronombres del objeto directo Direct object pronouns take the place of direct object nouns. To find the direct object ask ____? or ____? of the verb When you have a direct object pronoun, personal a is not needed. No now goes in front of the pronoun (not directly in front of the verb)

3 Direct object pronouns Singular: me = me te = you lo = him/it/you la = her/it/you Plural: nos = us --------------- los = them/you las = them/you

4 Pronombres del objeto directo Yo tengo la grapadora. = I have the stapler. Ask, I have what? = the stapler = thus, stapler is the direct object noun. To change la grapadora to a pronoun, it becomes la = it (fem.) The pronoun must be put directly in front of the verb in a simple sentence. Yo tengo la grapadora. = I have the stapler. Yo la tengo. = I have it.

Yo lo invité a la fiesta. = I invited him to the party. Nosotros buscamos a las chicas. Nosotros las buscamos. ( personal a not needed )
