Only -ir verbs have a stem change in the preterite. If an -ir verb, has a stem change in its present tense forms, then it also has a stem change in the preterite, but in its third person forms only. Don’t forget that -ar and -er verbs do not have stem changes, even if they do in the present tense.

20 Surrender on 6 -Students will be in groups of 4.
-Each students should have 1 sheet of paper per group up member, 1 die, and only ONE pen per group. -On the sheets of paper students will have sets of subjects/infinitives written. ----The group pen should be placed in the center of the table -Each person will take turns rolling the die. -The first person to roll a six gets to pick up the pen and begin conjugating the verbs as quickly as they can. -Meanwhile, the other players who do not have the pen continue to roll and pass the die. When another player rolls a six, the person writing must "surrender" their pen and immediately pass the pen to that player. -The first player to finish all the verbs should raise their paper in the air and Mrs. Schulze will then check their handout for correct answers. If there is any verb conjugated incorrectly or written too sloppily to be read by the teacher, that verb will not count and be marked with a highlighter. The game is over when someone conjugates all forms of the verb correctly. IF THERE IS A TIE (2 PEOPLE GET A 6) THE PEN GOES BACK IN THE MIDDLE UNTIL THE NEXT SIX IS ROLLED. NO ONE WRITES UNTIL THE NEXT 6
