4 Gustar- to like The verb gustar has two forms: singular and plural. Singular= gusta, plural= gustan. Gustar is used with the object pronouns me and te. Me means to me or for me. Te means to you or for you. The form of the verb is chosen based on the item that is pleasing. For example: Me gusta el chocolate. Me gustan los chocolates.

7 Gustar followed by the infinitive
The verb gustar is often followed by an infinitive. If this is the case, gustar is conjugated in the singular form, gusta. Study the following examples: Me gusta bailar. Me gusta bailar y cantar. ¿Te gusta usar la computadora o jugar los videojuegos?

8 Negatives To make a sentence negative when using gustar, the no is placed before the object pronoun me or te. Study the following examples: No me gusta cantar. No te gusta estudiar. Create 2 examples of your own…

9 To answer a question in the negative:
Put two no’s in front of the statement when you are answering a question. For example: ¿Te gusta la escuela? No, no me gusta la escuela. Write your own answer in the negative: ¿Te gusta la música clásica? If you were going to say I don’t like clasical music at all where would you put nada?
