2 Four types of adjectives
There are four types of adjectives in Spanish in terms of number and gender: Masculine singular adjective (alto) Feminine singular adjective (alta) Masculine plural adjective (altos) Feminine plural adjective (altas)

3 Adjectives that end in –o have four different forms:
Masc. sg. (ends in -o)  bajo Fem. Sg. (ends in –a)  baja Masc. pl. (ends in –os)  bajos Fem. pl. (ends in –as)  bajas el hombre gordo la mujer gorda los hombres gordos las mujeres gordas

4 Adjectives that end in –e or a consonant have the same feminine and masculine forms
inteligente (m & f sg.) inteligentes (m & f pl.) el chico inteligente; la chica inteligente los chicos inteligentes; las chicas inteligentes

5 Adjectives that end in –or are variable in both gender and number.
El hombre trabajador Los hombres trabajadores La mujer trabajadora Las mujeres trabajadoras

6 Adjectives that refer to nouns of different genders use the masculine plural form.
Manuel y Lola son altos. El profesor y la profesora son buenos.

7 Adjectives of nationality are formed like other descriptive adjectives.
El hombre chino La mujer china Los hombres chinos Las mujeres chinas mexicano/a/os/as español/a/es/as

8 Adjectives in Spanish mainly go behind the noun, unlike in English.
El libro interesante La muchacha alta El hombre chino le da un libro pequeño al muchacho.
