2 We use the present continuos for:
Actions happening now, at the moment of speaking She ‘s doing her homework now. Actions happening around the time of speaking Jane is study hard for her exams these days. Fixed arrangments in the near future, specially when we know the time and the place. I’m going to the cinema next Saturday at 6pm Se usa el presente continuo para Acciones que están pasando a la hora de hablar Ella es haciendo su tarea ahora Acciones que pasan muy cercanos a la hora de hablar Jane esta estudiando fuerte para su exámenes estos dias Citas confirmadas en un futuro cercano, especialmente cuando se conoce cuando y donde Voy a ir al cine el próximo sábado las 6pm

3 to be (am, are, is) + infinitive + -ing
We use the verb to be (am, are or is), the infinitive of the verb and the ending –ing. to be (am, are, is) + infinitive + -ing Se usa el verbo «TO BE» , el infinitivo del verbo y la terminación «ing» To be + infinitivo + ing

4 Affirmative sentences:
I am playing volleyball. He/she/it is playing volleyball. We/you/they are playing volleyball. NOTE: Use am with I - is with he, she, it - and with all other pronouns are. We often use short forms in affirmative sentences in the Present Progressive. (yo) Estoy jugando voleibol El/ella esta jugando voleibol Nosotros/ ustedes / ellos, ellas estábamos, estaban jugando voleibol Nota: usamos «am» con I , «is» con el, ella , eso y todos los demás con «are» Amenudeo el presente progresivo se usa la forma reducida en oraciones afirmativas

5 Negative sentences: I am not playing volleyball. He/she/it is not playing volleyball. We/you/they are not playing volleyball. NOTE: We often use short forms in negative sentences in the Present Progressive. * (yo) no estoy jugando voleibol * El / ella no esta jugando voleibol * (Nosotros) no estamos jugando voleibol, ustedes no están jugando voleibol, ello, ellas no están jugando voleibol) NOTA: a menudo se usan las formas corta en oraciones negativas

Questions: In the Present Progressive we put the auxiliary (am, are or is) before the subject (Auxiliary - Subject - Verb - Rest). Is he/she/it playing volleyball? Yes, he/she/it is. No, he/she/it isn’t. Are we/you/they playing volleyball? Yes, we/you/they are. No, we/you/they aren’t. El e presente progresivo se pone un auxiliar antes del sujeto ¿Esta el/ella/eso jugando voleibol? Si, no ¿Estamos (nosotros) jugando voleibol?, ¿están ellos/ellas/ ustedes jugando voleibol?
