Do You Know she was the first woman to travel around the world? She was born France in 1740 and she died in 1807. In 1766, Jeanne Baret sailed as assistant in the first French circumnavigation of the world. There wasn't permitted the presence of women, so she needed to disguise as a man. They found her womanhood and she was forced to land in Mauritius Island. She and her husband collected over 6000 samples of plant species of the places they visited. Nació en Francia en 1740 y murió en 1807. En 1766, Jeanne Baret navegó como asistente en la primera circunnavegación francesa al mundo. No estaba permitida la presencia de mujeres, así que tuvo que disfrazarse de hombre. Al descubrir su condición de mujer, fue obligada a desembarcar en Isla Mauricio. Do You Know that she covered over 800 miles in the Rocky Mountains? She was born in Boroughbridge in 1831 and she died in 1904. She covered over 800 miles in the Rocky Mountains in 1873.  She climbed the ”Mauna Kea” and the ”Mauna Loa”. ”A lady’s life in the Rocky Mountains” was a famous book about her. Ella nació en Boroughbridge en1831 y murió en 1904. Ella cubrió más de 800 millas en Las Montañas Rocosas. Do You Know she was one of the founding members of the American Alpine club? She was born in 1859 in Worcester, Massachusetts; she died in 1925. She was a geographer, cartographer and mountaineer notably in the Himalayas. She travelled with her husband, to the Himalaya and she travelled on bycicle in Europe and Asia. Fanny was one of the claimants in the first decade of the 1900’s of the woman altitud records. Nació en 1859 en Worcester, Massachusetts; murió en 1925. Ella fue geógrafa, cartógrafa y alpinista sobre todo por el Himalaya. Viajó con su marido, al Himalaya y en bicicleta por Europa y Asia. Do You Know she was a writter, traveler, spy, polyglot, arabist and a Britanic colonial administrator? She was born in Durham at the NW-Ingland in 1868 and died in Bagdad in 1926. At 48 years old she was the first oficial woman of the military counterintelligence for the Service of Britanic Inteligence. She obtained the gold medal Real Geografic Society and she was condecorated with the orther of the Britannic Empire Nació en Durham NO-Inglaterra- en 1868 y murió en Bagdad en 1826. A los 48 años fue la primera mujer oficial del contraespionaje militar para el servicio de inteligencia Británica. Do You Know she lived with cannibals for one year? She was born 1862 in England, and she died the 3rd of June of 1900. When her parents died, she decided to go to Africa and finish one of her father`s book. She came back to Africa to study the cannibals. The Launa´s people teached her to survive in Africa´s jungle. She stayed alone in very dangerous places. She never got marry. Nació en 1862 en Inglaterra, y murió el 3 de junio de 1900. Cuando sus padres murieron decidió irse a África para terminar uno de los libros de su padre. La gente de Luana le enseñó a sobrevivir en la jungla africana. Estuvo sola en sitios muy peligrosos. Do You Know she made a Safari in Africa alone? She was born in 1900 in the UK and she died in 1957 She was a writter and an adventure. Between 1923 and 1924, she and her father started a safari trhough Africa. They hunted animals for de Swiss museum of natural history. She married in 1930 and moved to England where she had two children: Tana and David. Nació en 1900 en el Reino Unido y murió en 1957. Fue escritora y aventurera. Entre 1923 y 1924, ella y su padre empezaron un safari a través de África cazando animales para el museo suizo de historia natural. Do You Know she was the first female correspondant in the World War I? Harriet Chalmers Adams ( ) was born in Stockton, California. She visited Central America, South America, parts of Asia and the Pacific. She worked as a photographer and writer for the National Geographic Society for 28 years.  Adams was the only female correspondent in the French trenches during World War I. Adams launched the Society of Woman Geographers. Harriet Chalmers Adams ( Stockton, California) Visito América Central, América del Sur, Asia y el Pacífico. Trabajó como fotógrafa y escritora de la Sociedad National Geographic durante 28 años.
