4 Los cognados 1.) Saquen the cognates partner pass paper 2.) Quietly and individually, translate the sentences on the back. 3.) We will go over these sentences as a class

5  ¡ESPAÑOL!  Talk to one person at a time.  Should not see students in groups.

6 ¿Cómo te llamas tú? ¿Cómo estás tú?¿De dónde eres tú? Yo me llamo… Estoy… Soy de … Record your PARTNER’S RESPONSE!!!!

7 Los platos 1.) You and your partner will take turns spinning the plate 2.) To spin the plate, loosely hold yarn with one hand and gently flick the hand holding the plate. 3.) To stop the plate, pinch the plate with two fingers 4.) Answer the question or translate based in where your fingers are.

8 Directions: Place the cards in a pile with the photo and vocabulary word facing up. To begin the game, remove the top card from the pile. The next card will be the first translation you will provide. Race against your partner to give the correct translation (English to Spanish OR Spanish to English) first. If you give the correct translation, the card is yours to keep. **Do not remove the card from the pile until you are ready to answer the next question!** The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner. KEEP TRACK OF WHO WINS EACH ROUND! WINNER IS WHOEVER WON THE MOST ROUNDS!!!! Las tarjetas de repaso!!!

9 ¡Salta!  The class will be divided into two teams  Each student on each team will receive 2 or 3 cards with Spanish vocabulary words from the class written in English  As the teacher calls out a Spanish vocabulary word, it is your job to stand and say the English translation from the matching card in front of you  You want to do this as quickly as possible so that you say the translation before the student with the same card from the other team does.  Words will include classroom commands and polite words
